About the course
The course provides insight into the correlation between the structure of organic compounds and their physical properties and reactivity. Discussion of important reaction mechanisms, practical exercises in the use of literature and databases, and planning and execution of fundamental organic transformations. Risk assessment, documentation of experimental data, and presentation of results. Use of spectroscopic and chromatographic methods that are relevant for organic chemistry.
