The course gives basic knowledge of the Swedish legal system with a focus on civil law and private law. The principal scope of the course is to give basic understanding of the working methods of lawyers through various practical examples from civil law. Methods for finding and using source material is also a main part of this course and work with these questions runs as a permanent theme throughout the whole course.

Instruction: Full class lectures and group tutorials.

Assessment

Examination: Written examination at the middle and end of the course, and oral and written presentation of legal problems.
