Learning outcomes
After having taken this course a student is expected to have acquired the following knowledge and abilities:
- to describe the European Turkic languages, their geographical distribution och social status,
- to give an account of the history and culture of the Turkic speaking groups in Europe, and
- to describe the Europeanisation of the Turkic literatures in modern times.
Content
The course gives an introduction into the European Turkic languages and cultures.
Instruction
Instruction is normally given on distance via cooperation between several universities participating in the Erasmus program. The student's own learning activities are of crucial importance for work in the course.
Assessment
The course has two moments of examination:
1. continuous oral and written assignments;
2. home examination.
The content and format of the continuous oral and written assignments, the date of completion/submission and information about re-examination are given at the start of the course.
For the grade Pass (G), Pass is required in all moments. For the grade Pass with distinction (VG), Pass with distinction is also required in moment 2.
If there are special reasons for doing so, an examiner may make an exception from the method of assessment indicated and allow a student to be assessed by another method. An example of special reasons might be a certificate regarding special pedagogical support from the University's disability coordinator.
