Kort presentation
I am part of the research project Gender and Work (www.gaw.hist.uu.se), which investigates the work of men and women in the past. The specific focus of my own case study is work and labour relations in an early modern mining community. Through analysing what the inhabitants of this community did to provide for themselves, as well as under what conditions they toiled, I wish to bring nuance to the history of mine work and move beyond the traditional theme of masculinised, industrial wage work.
