Gustaf Forsell är universitetslektor i kyrkohistoria och missionshistoria samt affilierad till Centrum för mångvetenskaplig forskning om rasism (CEMFOR). Hans expertis rör skandinavisk fascism, konspirationsteorier och spänningsfältet religion, politik och rasism ur historiska perspektiv. Forsells forskningsoutput inbegriper studier av svenska nationalsocialistiska rörelsers idéer om kristendom, 1920-talets Ku Klux Klan, brittisk efterkrigstidsfascism och esoterisk fascism.
