Biografi
Miia Bask är universitetslektor i sociologi och docent i socialpolitik. Hon är en kvantitativ sociolog som forskar om social stratifiering och ojämlikhet. Basks doktorsavhandling handlade om socialt utanförskap i Sverige och då speciellt hos individer med invandrarbakgrund och tillhörande olika familjetyper. Hennes forskning som postdoktor rörde sambandet mellan utbrändhet i skolan och avbrott från skolan, internaliserade och utåtagerande problembeteende hos ungdomar, föräldrars utbildningsrelaterade förväntningar och deras förhållande till den uppnådda utbildningsnivån samt teoretiskt och metodologiskt orienterade studier kring ojämlikhetsskapande mekanismer.
