Biografi
Förhindra en epidemi av HIV och Aids i Nicaragua
Min bakgrund är i sexuell och reproduktiv hälsa, bland riskgrupper för HIV, såsom män som har sex med män, sexarbetare, ungdomar och drogmissbrukare i Nicaragua. I min nuvarande forskning försöker jag fastställa omfattningen och dynamiken av HIV i Nicaragua. Mina studier fokuserar på de epidemiologiska frågorna på HIV:s utbredning, vilka faktorer som gör att man testar sig, kunskapen om HIV, attityder och sexuellt beteende. Jag studerar även stigma och diskriminering mot personer som lever med HIV. Målgrupperna är män och kvinnor från den allmänna befolkningen samt själv-identifierade män som har sex med män.
