Short presentation
In 2018, Axel defended his PhD thesis on the political economy of Active Labour Market Policy. In 2022 he was appointed Docent in Political Science, and since 2024 he is Associate Senior Lecturer at the Department of Government.
He specializes in comparative political economy, the migration–welfare state nexus, as well as electoral competition, coalition formation, and other aspects of representative democracy.
