Kort presentation
Axel disputerade år 2018 med en avhandling om den aktiva arbetsmarknadspolitiken i EU och OECD. År 2022 utnämndes han till docent och sedan 2024 är han biträdande universitetslektor vid Statsvetenskapliga institutionen.
Hans forskning är inriktad på jämförande politisk ekonomi, på samspelet mellan migration och välfärdsstaten samt på elektoral konkurrens, koalitionsbildning och andra aspekter av den representativa demokratin.
