About the course
About the course: You will be presented with valuable feedback tools such as the text triangle, reverse outlines and topic sentences. You will also be given the opportunity to apply these tools to an authentic student text.
Format
Teachers from the Language Workshop will begin the session by introducing useful, concrete tools that you can implement in your feedback on student texts.
You will then have time to try using the feedback tools on a student text.
The workshop will close with a discussion and reflections on the feedback exercise with other workshop participants and with the teachers from the Language Workshop.
What do I need to prepare?
You will need to bring a student text with you to the workshop. The text should be an assignment from your department, such as a take-home exam, an essay, a lab report, or a degree project. It is fine to work with the text on your computer, but you are also welcome to print the text and work with the paper copy.
If you do not have a student text of your own at this time, you may download a student text from Diva. In order to ensure the student’s anonymity, you will not be asked to share the text with other workshop participants.
