About the course
A laboratory safety course is offered twice a year for all employees who work in laboratories at Uppsala University. The course is aimed for Chemical Safety Officers and others who are working in laboratories.
The course contains, among other things, information about basic legislation in the field of chemicals, e.g.:
- The role and duties of the Chemical Safety Officers
- Risk management
- Purchase of chemicals and waste management
- Labeling and storage of chemicals
- Personal protective equipment and emergency equipment
Format
The course is given in the form of a lecture mixed with group discussions and lasts about 3 hours.
There is also a web-based laboratory safety course available in both Swedish and English.
