Do you have an idea or research insight you’d like to take further? Join UU Innovation’s Idea Exploration Programme! Through three engaging breakfast workshops, you’ll explore and develop early-stage ideas in a practical and supportive setting.

Work on your idea and take your first steps

This programme offers a hands-on way to explore new ideas. It is ideal if you are curious about innovation but not sure where to start.

You will learn and apply methods and tools to help you clarify and structure your idea, identify opportunities, and take concrete first steps. By bringing together participants from across the University, the programme opens up new perspectives and valuable discussions.

In a practical and supportive setting, you will develop your idea together with others and gain insights you can build on beyond the programme.

What you will do in the programme

The programme consists of three interactive workshops where you work on your own idea while engaging with other researchers and students developing theirs.

Each session combines short introductions with practical exercises, reflection, and discussions in small groups. This helps you apply new insights directly to your own project.

There is space to experiment, think out loud, and develop your work in dialogue with others.

Programme content in brief

  1. Structure your idea
    You are introduced to the NABC framework (Need, Approach, Benefit, Competition) and begin shaping your idea into a clear and communicable concept.
  2. Take your first steps
    You define a direction for your idea and identify concrete next steps.
  3. Next steps and opportunities
    You refine your direction, draw inspiration from others’ journeys, and explore how to move forward with the right support from UU Innovation.
