About the Writing Workshop
This is an opportunity for equal opportunities groups/equivalents at all levels of the organisation who want to set aside time for joint and structured work on active measures to prevent discrimination.
The idea is to give the working group the opportunity to work focused on their planning, monitoring and development of measures for equal opportunities. Participants can receive support in discussing identified risks and obstacles, formulating measures or following up on implemented measures.
The working group can focus on:
- developing their work with active measures through joint reflection and planning
- strengthen their ability to identify, monitor and prevent risks and obstacles in the organisation
- further develop their action plan or planning so that it functions as a practical tool in their continued work
- Prerequisites
No prerequisites are required, but it is an advantage if the head of department/equivalent, local HR (LHR) and equal opportunities representative have participated in the training Active measures to Prevent Discrimination in Working Life. - It is also an advantage if the participants have completed the digital training on equal opportunities.
- The working group will derive the greatest benefit from the ‘writing workshop’ if planning has already begun, work has already started, or if the group is working on following up on measures that have been implemented.
Outline
The Writing Workshop enables working groups to set aside a block of time to work on their own issues, challenges and plans relating to active measures within their own organisations.
The working group works based on its own documentation, plans or follow-ups, whilst specialist support is available throughout the session. Participants can, amongst other things:
- work on the planning, implementation, follow-up or evaluation of active measures and health and safety measures
- discuss operational issues and receive support from specialists in equal opportunities
- develop and flesh out plans and measures based on identified risks and obstacles
- take part in joint reviews of issues specifically requested by participating working groups
