Mirror-ready web content
We are gradually making it easier for you to mirror current information from our Student Portal pages, such as calendars and application periods.
For instance, we have created a hidden page containing subject-categorised 'teasers' for our webinars, ready to be mirrored on the student web. Simply select the teasers you wish to use directly from that page.
If you find content on our site that you would like to mirror, but it isn’t in a compatible format, please contact the page administrator.
More webinars with even more insight
During the autumn, we have been working on expanding and enhancing our webinars, providing practical, step-by-step guidance on the hands-on work of applying for both scholarships and exchange studies. You might have spotted our 'Erasmus pig' rooting around on screens and in event calendars recently. We will continue to develop this concept throughout the spring.
Please feel free to highlight our events calendar in your feeds and newsletters to help students find their way to these webinars.
We have also created a hidden page where we collect subject-categorised calendar 'teasers' for our webinars, ready to be mirrored on the Student Web.

Easy-to-follow application deadlines
The Erasmus traineeship grant, in particular, now features clearer deadlines and a more structured breakdown. Please feel free to highlight the application periods relevant to your students in your feeds and newsletters.
Note that, in many cases, it is also possible to apply for an Erasmus traineeship grant for placements outside of the EU.
'Borrowing' one of our team members just got easier
You can book our student ambassadors if you would like to provide information about studying abroad. Their mission is to inspire and inform others about the opportunities available for international study. Among other things, they manage the university’s Instagram account, @StudyAbroadFromUU (see the brief section on this further down).

Our ambassadors share their own experiences and guide students on where to find information online. Please keep in mind that they are student employees (teaching assistants) working alongside their studies, so kindly send your request well in advance.
Complex questions? If you know that your students have complex or specific questions regarding, for instance, traineeships or exchange studies via central agreements, please get in touch. We can then discuss whether an International Officer should accompany the ambassadors to provide additional expertise.
Will MFS be returning?
Last spring, Uppsala University suspended the call for applications for the Sida-funded Minor Field Studies (MFS) travel grant. We do not currently know if we will be accepting applications this spring, but negotiations are ongoing. We will provide an update as soon as we have further information, likely during the first quarter of 2026.
What happened to the ENLIGHT Joint Courses?
Regular visitors to our website may have noted that there was no open call for applications for ENLIGHT Joint Courses during the autumn. This does not mean that these popular courses have been discontinued. On the contrary, the courses being offered are becoming increasingly specialised and require specific prerequisites, meaning that, in practice, they are only suitable for certain student groups. Therefore, instead of open calls, we are now targeting information directly at the relevant students.
As soon as we know which courses will be available this spring, we will contact the departments concerned.
Mobility to and from the UK after Brexit
At present the UK is no longer part of the Erasmus programme. On the page about mobility to and from the UK, we have gathered information about what it means for staff at Uppsala University.
The instructions below are only in Swedish, but the infokits provided are in both English and Swedish.

Inspiration och studenternas egna guider
Vi möter ofta studenter som är osäkra vad utlandsstudier kan tillföra i deras utbildning, och vart de ska söka. Vårt råd är alltid att ta reda på så mycket som möjligt om de olika universiteten och platserna där de ligger. Att till exempel läsa utbytesrapporter och kolla in vad andra studenter berättar på universitetets instagramkonto @studyabroadfromuu. Ni får jättegärna hjälpa oss att sprida de inspirationskällorna.

Rubrik: Inkluderingsstöd från Erasmus+
Brödtext: Ibland gör omständigheter att man behöver extra stöd för att studera och göra praktik utomlands. Utöver Erasmusstipendierna för studier eller praktik kan du som är behörig ansöka om inkluderingsstöd från Erasmus+, även kallat Top-Up.
Det finns inkluderingsstöd som riktar sig till studenter med barn; varaktig funktionsnedsättning; som har eller har haft flyktingstatus eller skyddsbehov enligt nationella bestämmelser; och som upplever ekonomiska, sociala och/eller kulturella hinder för att studera utomlands (så kallat stöd för övriga hinder).
I de flesta fall är bidraget ett fast belopp, men i vissa fall kan du ansöka om stöd som täcker faktiska kostnader.

Heading: Inclusion Support from Erasmus+
Body: Sometimes life circumstances mean you need extra support to study or do a traineeship abroad. In addition to the standard grants, eligible students can apply for Erasmus+ Inclusion Support (also known as a Top-Up).
The support is aimed at students with children, long-term disabilities, refugee status, or those facing economic, social, or cultural barriers to studying abroad.
In most cases, the top-up is a monthly grant, but in some instances, you can apply for support to cover actual costs.
