About the course

The course has been developed as part of the systematic work environment management regarding personal safety at Uppsala University.

The goal of the course is for the participant to gain basic knowledge of how conflicts can arise, develop, and be handled. The course also aims to increase awareness of stress and stress reactions in an emergency situation as well as to give concrete advice on actions before, during, and after an incident. Estimated time for completion is 1 - 1.5 hours.

Basic training on Threats and violence in the workplace is web-based and conducted through self-study via the Studium platform. The training is part of the Security and safety for university staff course package, which includes both basic and advanced courses in the field of security.
