Application for targeted study support
Nais (National Administration and Information System for Coordinators) is a system developed by the Swedish Council for Higher Education to manage the support provided to students with disabilities. It is currently used at most higher education institutions in Sweden.
Students apply for support themselves. Here is a description of how the entire application process works to assist students if necessary.
How does the application work for students?
- Students log in to Nais to apply for support.
- Students can log in via BankID or use the login details they have from Uppsala University, antagning.se/universityadmissions.se, or eduID. When the student applies for support, all personal and contact information is retrieved from Ladok.
- The student must upload a certificate confirming a long-term disability. The certificate must be issued by a healthcare professional, speech therapist, or equivalent.
- Once the student has applied, they will receive an account in Nais with access to all documents related to the support.
- If the student is studying with support at several higher education institutions, all support will be visible in their account. However, coordinators can only see the application and documents relevant to their own institution.
