Arrival day in Uppsala
On this page, you can find information about the upcoming Arrival Day in Uppsala for incoming exchange students. The arrival day is one or two days during which we recommend you to arrive in order to get free transportation from Arlanda airport to Uppsala and help with other practical matters.

Arrival Day – Spring 2026
The Arrival Day for the spring semester 2026 is Thursday 15 january.
Arriving at Stockholm Arlanda Airport
During the Arrival Days, we will have an Arrival Desk at Arlanda Airport from 09:00 to 20:00. The Arrival Desk is located outside the customs service in Terminal 5 and Terminal 2.
We will also offer a free shuttle service from Arlanda Airport to the Welcome Centre in Uppsala during these hours.
Arriving at the Welcome Center
We have a Welcome Center set up in Uppsala, in the Segerstedt Building, located at Dag Hammarskjölds väg 7.
During the Arrival day The Welcome Center is opem between 10:00 and 21:00.
Services at the Welcome Center include:
- Uppsala University Housing Office for keys and contracts for most housing areas (only for students who have been offered housing through the Uppsala University Housing Office)
- Welcome packages
- Shuttle services to housing areas
- Student account activation (requires formal ID, take your passport with you)
- Temporary student ID
Staff from the Housing Office and the International Office, as well as student volunteers, will be on hand at the Welcome Center.
Arriving on another day?
Should your arrival be delayed, or if you are arriving another day, you will need to make necessary arrangements for your transportation on your own.
Getting to Uppsala and getting around in Uppsala
You are warmly welcome to visit the Service Center in the Segerstedt Building during its ordinary opening hours to pick up your welcome folder and student account details.
