Arrival day in Uppsala
On this page, you can find information about the upcoming Arrival Day in Uppsala for incoming exchange students. The arrival day is one or two days during which we recommend you arrive to receive assistance with practical matters upon arrival.

Arrival Days – Spring Semester 2027

This day is designed to help you arrive smoothly, collect your keys, and get practical support before you start your studies.
Arriving at Stockholm Arlanda Airport
Arrival Desk at Terminal 5
You will find our Arrival Desk outside the customs area in Terminal 5. Staff and student volunteers will welcome you and guide you to the train or buses.
Welcome Centre in Uppsala
Location: Segerstedt Building, Dag Hammarskjölds väg 7
Opening hours during Arrival Days: 10:00–21:00
At the Welcome Centre you can:
- Collect housing keys and contracts (if you were allocated housing by Uppsala University Housing Office)
- Pick up your welcome package
- Activate your student account (bring formal ID, preferably your passport)
- Receive your temporary nations card
- Get shuttle services to your assigned housing area
- Ask questions to staff from the Housing Office, International Office, and student volunteers
Tip: Keep your passport easily accessible for identification.
Arriving on another day
If you arrive outside the Arrival Days, you will need to travel to Uppsala on your own.
You are welcome to visit the Service Centre in the Segerstedt Building during its regular opening hours to pick up your welcome folder and student account information.
