Human Rights
The courses give you knowledge on human rights from different perspectives: public international law, philosophy, political theory and religion. They are of interest for students who want to work with human rights in intergovernmental organisations, public administration, education, journalism, and diverse types of NGO:s that operate internationally with implementation of different types of conventions on human rights.
The courses aim to give the student capability to work with human rights within different areas and contexts. It can be international organs, public administration, Swedish and international NGO:s, education, journalism etc. They further aim to give the student the skills to work independently, objectively, and critically with questions about how human rights should be interpreted, developed and implemented, and to give enhanced knowledge about and ability to carry out relevant theories and methods in the field of human rights.
