Biografi
Med dr., MSc, Leg arbetsterapeut är associerad till Institutionen för Folkhälso- och Vårdvetenskap, Funktionshinder och Habilitering vid Uppsala universitet. Hon har en anställning på habiliteringen i Dalarna med Centrum för Klinisk forskning (CKF) i Dalarna som arbetsplats på halvtid och är halvtidsanställd forskare på SUF Kunskapscentrum i Uppsala.
Forskning
Gunnel Janeslätts forskningsområde är tidsuppfattning och tidshantering hos barn, ungdomar och vuxna med fokus på metoder för kartläggning och intervention. Inom ramen för tjänsten på SUF-Kunskapscentrum pågår två forskningsprojekt: Ett projekt ”Barn- Vet jag vad det innebär?” prövar en ny modell för att ge ungdomar med Intellektuella Funktionsnedsättningar (IF) möjlighet till att ta informerade beslut om sitt vuxenliv – en modell som skulle kunna förebygga oönskade graviditeter hos ungdomar på gymnasiesärskolan. Det andra forskningsprojektet ”Föräldrar Trots allt” samlar kunskap om föräldrar som har kognitiva nedsättningar och barn placerade i familjehem. Det projektet genomförs i samarbete med Päivi Adolfsson, Karin Jöreskog och Helena Lindstedt samtliga vid Uppsala universitet.
