Backup and Restore
The University IT Services offers to back up computers over the computer network and store the data at a central backup system.
This is a simple and inexpensive solution, where the IT Division takes care of the operation backup equipment and makes sure the storage capacity is sufficient. The backup is done over the data network and may be started automatically.
The central backup system is based on Spectrum Protect (former TSM).
