Housing guarantee at Uppsala University
Uppsala University will guarantee an offer of housing to all fee-paying Bachelor's and Master's students. The housing guarantee also applies to scholarship recipients.
If you pay the tuition fee by the given deadline, you will be offered housing for the duration of your studies. The Uppsala University's Housing Office will send you an email with instructions on how to accept your offer.
Fee-paying students are provided with a fully-furnished dormitory room located in one of the student housing areas in town. Room sizes can vary between 19-48m2 and some have a private kitchen and bathroom while others are shared.
The housing guarantee is only offered to the individual student. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide accommodation for accompanying family members. Students bringing family members are responsible for finding their own accommodation.
More information can be found on the University Housing Office's website.
All other students, including non-fee-paying Bachelor's and Master's students, are responsible for organising their own accommodation while in Sweden. There are a number of different housing options for international students, including student dormitory rooms, apartments and share houses. Read more about finding housing in Uppsala and Visby.
