About the course
This course can be seen as a continuation of the course in regression analysis, but with more general models. In regression analysis, the dependent variable is assumed to be normally distributed, but here the dependent variable is usually discrete, e.g. Poisson distributed or Bernoulli distributed. Typically, it is then a transformation of the expected value of this distribution that is described by a linear function of the explanatory variables.
