Matematikdidaktik

Forskning i matematikdidaktik handlar om undervisning och lärande i matematik.
Den matematikdidaktiska forskningsgruppen i Uppsala studerar fenomenet undervisning och lärande i matematik på olika sätt. Studierna rör alla utbildningsnivåer från förskola till universitet, såväl historiskt som i nutid. Detta inbegriper studier av styrdokument, fortbildningsprojekt, läromedel och prov – inklusive deras inbördes relationer – och klassrumsinteraktion. Gruppen studerar didaktiska aspekter av bland annat algebra, analys, geometri, problemlösning, programmering och digitala verktyg. Teorier och metoder hämtas från det matematikdidaktiska fältet, men även från exempelvis sociologi, psykologi, lingvistik och implementeringsforskning. Gruppen har flera internationella och nationella samarbeten. Det handlar om deltagande i andra forskargrupper, men också organisering av nätverk och konferenser. Flera av gruppens medlemmar ingår i olika utvecklingsprojekt, exempelvis utveckling av läromedel och lärarfortbildningsprojekt.
