Barn- och ungdomsvetenskap (BUV) är en tvärvetenskaplig forskargrupp som studerar barns och ungas aktörskap, livsvillkor, identitet och samhällsdeltagande.
Inom Barn- och ungdomsvetenskap (BUV) bedrivs praktiknära forskning om och med barn och unga inom olika sociala arenor. Vi har ett brett fokus på barns och ungas vardagsliv, kulturer och egna perspektiv, där även ojämlikhets- och socialisationsprocesser utgör centrala tematiker. Studierna bygger på utbildnings- och samhällsvetenskapliga traditioner och kombinerar flera disciplinära perspektiv, exempelvis frågor om barns och ungas utbildningsprestation, skolsocialt arbete, transitioner, rörelse, hälsa och välbefinnande, sexualitetshistoria, utsatthet, delaktighet, och samhällsengagemang.
