Anna T. Höglund is Professor of Care Ethics and Gender Studies. She has worked extensively on the question of ethical competence for health care practitioners. Related research areas are moral distress in clinical settings and prioritizations in health care. She has also published substantially on the topic of equity in healthcare related to the area of gender and ethics. In recent years her research has focused on food ethics, including ethical aspects of food production and consumption.
Anna T. Höglund holds an undergraduate degree in Arts (1997) and a doctoral degree in Theology (2001) from Uppsala University. She became Associate Professor of Ethics in 2006 and was promoted to Professor at the Faculty om Medicine in 2021.
