Emelie Gustafson Hedov is a PhD student working with the ERC-funded project EmergAI. The project is led by the research group for Clinical Epidemiology (Dept of Medical Sciences), with Johan Sundström as the PI. Emelie’s main supervisor is Jessica Nihlén Fahlquist at CRB.
The aim of the EmergAI project is to develop a clinical decision-support system using AI, which raises complex ethical questions. Emelie’s PhD focuses on ethical aspects of AI in emergency care, including questions related to communication, responsibility and autonomy.
Emelie’s background is in linguistics, and she is interested in technology, sociolinguistics and applied linguistics, especially in healthcare.
