William Bülow O'Nils

Senior lecturer in biomedical ethics, with research focus on normative issues that arise in the intersection of ethics, law and policy.

William Bülow O’Nils is a senior lecturer in biomedical ethics, with a focus on research ethics. In his research, he takes an interest in issues questions pertaining to ethical review, publication ethics and research misconduct. He is also works in several other areas of applied and normative ethics.

William Bülow O'Nils has previously worked as a researcher in practical philosophy at the Department of Philosophy at Stockholm University. Before that, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Stockholm Center for the Ethics of War and Peace. He has also previously worked as a temporary lecturer in medical ethics at the Center for Health and Healthcare Ethics at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm.

He defended his PhD in philosophy at the Department of Philosophy and History at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm in 2017.
