Ulrika Berg
Doctoral student researching different aspects of communication, information, and support provided to expectant parents after a foetal condition has been detected during pregnancy.
Ulrika Berg began her doctoral studies at CRB in November 2025. Her PhD project concerns prenatal diagnosis and investigate expectant parents' experiences of receiving information about a foetal anomaly/condition during pregnancy. She works with obstetric ultrasound in the county of Kronoberg and has an interest in questions related to patient care approach and information about prenatal diagnosis. Her PhD project explores questions about patients' experiences of care and how information, patient care approach and support can be designed and improved to strengthen patient autonomy.
Ulrika Berg holds a postgraduate diploma in midwifery and a master of medical science in nursing from Linköping University and is also a certified ultrasound midwife. She is a member of the Swedish network for information on prenatal diagnosis, snif.
