This course provides you with the information needed to work as a writer in Sitevision. As a writer you normally have authorisation to:
- Edit text and publish existing pages
- Create and publish events
- Create and publish news (with the exception of the specialist gateways on the Staff Gateway).
Who gets to be a web writer?
To be a web writer in Sitevision, you must have been selected for the role by your organisation’s manager/head of department via the webmaster.
About the role of writer
In contrast to the role of editor, the role of writer is limited to one of the three target group gateways (external, staff or student). If your responsibility is intended to extend across more than one target group gateway, this can be arranged, but you will have to apply for each gateway separately.
The scope of the role is limited to the pages for which your organisation is responsible.
