Update Your Phone – Secure Your Information

If you have an iPhone or iPad that you use for work, you need to update it to the latest software version.

Apple has discovered a serious security vulnerability affecting both iPhones and iPads. If you use them for work – or privately to access the university’s services – you need to update them to the latest version.

If you have an iPhone or iPad that you use for work, you need to update it to the latest software version.

If you have used your personal devices to log in to or use the university’s IT services, such as email, you should also update these to the latest software version.

The reason is that Apple has identified a serious vulnerability affecting the security of iPhones and iPads.

This affects all Apple devices, not just those owned by Uppsala University.

To stay secure, always make sure your device is updated to the latest version.

This applies whether you use Apple devices or Android devices.

How do I update my iPhone or iPad?

Go to Settings. Tap General. Then tap Software Update.
If an update is available, it will appear for download and installation.

If no update is shown, you do not need to do anything—your phone is already up to date.
