Filling up fast at UUniFI

Right now, it is deceptively empty, but the noticeboard and calendar of the newly established Uppsala University Future Institutes, UUniFI, will soon be filling up.
The noticeboard is still almost bare, and a certain organised chaos reigns in the UUniFI offices. Over the coming weeks, however, the space will fill up fast with this autumn’s seminar series and other opportunities to become part of this multi- and interdisciplinary community.
Uppsala University Future Institutes, UUniFI, is launching its operations in earnest this autumn, and anyone interested might want to start keeping an eye out already.
"The research plans are being approved as we speak, and it looks to be an interesting line-up of issues that will be highlighted by our constituent institutes this autumn", says Tobias Sjöblom, Head of UUniFI.
UUniFI comprises six institutes focusing on different areas: AI: led by Sven Nylander. Energy Transition, led by Malin Göteman, Migration, led by Olof Åslund, Goal Conflicts, led by Mats Målqvist, Precision Health, led by Åsa Johansson, and the multi- and interdisciplinary Circus, led by Claes-Fredrik Helgesson.
Those who do not pass by the noticeboard on floor 2 of the Segerstedt Building, and do not wish to peruse the digital equivalent on the staff gateway (MI), can receive email updates.
"We promise only to bother people when we have something important to say, and to keep it brief and to the point", laughs Tobias Sjöblom when asked if the university really needs another newsletter aimed at researchers.
Naturally, everything will also be published on MI, the Staff Gateway.
