Collège de France

The collaboration with Collège de France (CdF) began in 2004 when an exchange agreement between CdF and Uppsala University (UU) was signed. The exchange allows for the annual invitation of up to three guest lecturers from CdF, as well as the opportunity to propose researchers from UU to be invited to lecture at CdF.

In late autumn 2024, the opportunity was introduced for up to three doctoral students from UU to be nominated for the newly launched Marguerite Program at Collège de France.

This collaboration provides an excellent opportunity for UU teachers and researchers who wish to expand their international engagement. Participants in the exchange must be distinguished in their field and skilled lecturers. Previous participants testify to the intellectual stimulation and unique academic environment it offers.

Opportunities for participants

There are two types of opportunities within the CdF collaboration:

  1. The annual invitation of up to three guest lecturers from CdF, as well as the possibility to propose UU researchers to be invited to lecture at CdF.
  2. The possibility for up to three UU doctoral students to be nominated for Collège de France’s newly launched Marguerite Program.

Key annual deadlines:

  • To nominate a guest lecturer from Uppsala University: end of March
  • To nominate a guest lecturer from Collège de France: mid-April
  • To nominate doctoral students for the Marguerite Program: end of December
