550th anniversary stamp
A stamp has been designed to mark the 550th anniversary of Uppsala University in 2027. The stamp is to be used alongside the Uppsala University logo.
Where the stamp may be used
The stamp may be used on items such as letterhead, in advertisements, on posters, in campaigns, on invitations, in newsletters, etc. The stamp must not be positioned in such a way that it overlaps text or the clearance area ('clear zone') of Uppsala University’s logo.
Who is allowed to use
The stamp may be used until the end of 2027. The stamp may be used by departments and equivalent units at Uppsala University, external organisations and partners, provided that the context has been quality-assured and approved by the Anniversary Office in consultation with the Director of Communications at Uppsala University.
Basic shape and colours
The stamp is available in Swedish only. The text and numbers must not be separated or otherwise altered.
The stamp is available in a standard version with black text and numbers. In certain specific situations, the stamp may be inverted.
The stamp must be applied to light-coloured backgrounds. The contrast between the stamp and the background must be high.
The stamp must be rotated either -22 degrees or 22 degrees and partially cropped to create variation and dynamism.

'Clear zone'
The stamp has a clearance area, known as a ‘clear zone’. No text may be placed within this area. To define the clear zone proportionally regardless of the stamp’s size, the ‘5’ in the stamp is used for each given size.
The stamp must always be used on its own. Symbols and text must never be placed so close to the stamp that a new stamp is created.
To ensure legibility, the stamp’s width should not be less than 25 millimetres or 90 px.

Positioning and trimming the stamp
The anniversary stamp is used on its own and reinforces communication regarding the University’s anniversary. The stamp should be placed against a plain, light-coloured background.
The stamp should be rotated either -22 degrees or 22 degrees and partially cropped to create variation and dynamism. The cropping should be done in such a way that the stamp remains clearly identifiable, even when parts of the shape lie outside the image area.
