Employeeship, employee dialogue and staff policy and Staff policy
Through employeeship, we create a good working environment and a successful business together. Active employeeship means that employees take responsibility for their work and contribute to the development of the organization. You can read more about what this means in Uppsala University's employee policy.
Employee dialogue
As an employee, you are invited to an annual employee dialogue with your manager. The dialogue is the acknowledgement of the continuous conversations you and your manager have had during the year and complements the salary review. The dialogue should contribute to your understanding of the University's goals and strategies and highlight your role in the development of the organization. The purpose of the dialogue is also to provide you with the opportunity for the development you need to perform your duties well, as well as access to the necessary resources. The dialogue also gives your manager the opportunity to get feedback on his/her leadership, to follow up on the university's staff policy if necessary, and to get relevant information about you, your work group and the organization. An important function is also to create a common picture of your work environment, both organizational, social and physical.
The dialogue should result in a jointly agreed plan for what you and your manager should do to ensure your and the organization's continued development and good work environment.
It is important that you prepare well for your employee dialogue. Use the template to help you prepare.
Staff policy
The policy specifies and clarifies the employees' responsibilities, approach and expected behavior towards each other. It covers all employees regardless of role, including managers.
