Special funding for development of new programmes at Campus Gotland
At its most recent meeting (in connection with the approval of the 2025 operational plan), the University Board decided to allocate funding to enable the development of both new programmes and courses and existing ones – all with the aim of regaining 1,500 full-time students pursuing on-campus education on Gotland.
The University Board’s decision in the operational plan has already been followed up by the Campus Gotland Board, which in a letter (UFV 2024/849) addressed to the faculties and departments encourages them to develop new on-campus programmes and to take measures to increase student numbers on existing programmes on Campus Gotland. The proposals must be received by the Campus Gotland Board by 11 October 2024.
The target of 1,500 full-time equivalent students pursuing on-campus education on Campus Gotland was achieved in 2021, but in recent years the number of students has declined, creating scope to establish new programmes and courses and to admit more students to existing programmes.
