A new semester is starting at CIRCUS

We hope you all had a wonderful summer with time for rest and recovery.

Now the activities are starting at full speed, and we look forward to an eventful autumn together. Already on August 13, CIRCUS is organising its Interdisciplinary Summer School. Over the course of three days, 19 participants will have the opportunity to meet, develop their skills in interdisciplinary collaboration, deepen their knowledge, and explore tools for working across disciplinary boundaries.

CIRCUS own research network, READ - Research and Education Across Disciplines, invites you to the following events:

  • September 16: Workshop on the draft volume “Interdisciplinarity as a Research Policy Mascot”
  • October 7: Recognizing the Valuable Contributions of Integrators
  • December 2: Exploring Hierarchies in Interdisciplinary Research and Education

Given the world we live in, we especially want to highlight this autumn’s symposium: “Evil Acts – Can We Understand Them?”, which will take place on August 26 at the Humanities Theatre. The initiative comes from Torsten Pettersson, Department of Literature and Rhetoric.

Keep an eye on Circus’ calendar for upcoming activities.

Do you want to start or further develop an interdisciplinary research network? The call for the 2025–2026 period is now open! A digital information meeting will be held on September 10 via Zoom.

Do not hesitate to contact us at CIRCUS if you have any questions or want to know more!
