German
German is a Germanic language and is related to Swedish. German is spoken in Europe by about 100 million people, mainly in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, but there are German-speaking groups in other countries, for example in Romania, the Czech Republic and Russia.
The education is primarily aimed at improving basic language skills. This is done through the study of grammar and training of oral and written language skills. In addition, modern German literature and German history, geography and social conditions are studied at the underground level. The higher level includes Linguistics and Literature. The two introductory courses, 15 credits each, give together specific eligibility to German A1.
