Campus card

The campus card is a mandatory multi-function access card for entry to all the University's campuses and for printing and other services. If you study or work at the University, you should have a campus card.

The campus card can also serve as a library card at the University Library in Uppsala. In order to use the card for borrowing books, you have to register for a library account.

If you participate in a distance learning course and spend only a few days on the University premises, or you have completed your studies, you do not need a campus card.

Order a campus card

To be able to order a card, you must be currently registered for courses and have activated your student account at Uppsala University.

You order your campus card by logging in to a service portal for campus cards. In the ordering process, you will go through the following steps:

  • Accept terms and conditions for the campus card.
  • Upload a photo.
  • Choose your desired PIN code.

Log in to the service portal

If you can't log in

If the login is unsuccessful, it may be because you are not yet registered for your course. Check that you are registered, wait until the next day, and then try to log in again. Also, make sure to log in with your username followed by @user.uu.se and password A.

Pick up your campus card

Once you have completed your order, you can pick up your campus card at one of the following campuses:

  • Blåsenhus
  • BMC
  • Campus Gotland
  • EBC
  • Ekonomikum
  • English Park Campus
  • Gamla torget Campus
  • The Segerstedt Building
  • Ångström laboratory

To collect your campus card, you need to show an approved identity document and have a current course registration.

If you change your personal identity number

If you have received a new personal identity number, you will need to get a new campus card. You place a new order in the service portal.

Why a campus card?

The University premises are not public, but for practical reasons, large parts of them are kept open during the day. A card that shows that people on our campuses really have the right to be there contributes to greater security. Most universities in Sweden have already introduced a campus card.

Contact and support

If you have any questions regarding the campus card, please contact the reception desk at your campus.

If you lose your campus card, block it as soon as possible. You can block your card yourself in the service portal. You can also contact the reception desk at your campus to get help to block the card.
