Examination
To receive a grade on the course you are taking, you will be tried through an examination. There are different kinds of exams. Some of the most common ones are written exams, take-home exams, lab exams and writing an essay or thesis.
The grading systems vary between different faculties and may also be different between different courses within a programme. The syllabus provides information about which grading system is used for the course.
Cheating and plagiarism
As a student, it is your responsibility to learn what is allowed and not allowed during exams and when you write an essay.

Ombudsman for grades
You can turn to the ombudsman for grading issues if you think that the examination or grading has been unfairly done.
