Parking on campus

Many campuses have parking spaces for students and employees. Check with your campus for parking options.

Parking at Smart Parkering's parking lots

From 23 March 2026, Smart Parkering AB is responsible for parking operations in the parking lots owned by Akademiska Hus (the Blåsenhus area, BMC/Rosendal, EBC/Kv. Lagerträdet, Ekonomikum, Engelska Park Campus, Ultuna/Green Innovation Park, and Ångström Laboratory).

Parking can be paid for via

• Smart Parkering’s own app SmartPark
• SMS payment, or
• the EasyPark app.

SmartPark does not include any additional administrative fee, while using EasyPark entails a 15 percent surcharge. Most ticket machines on campus will be removed.

To purchase a 30-day ticket or a monthly subscription for an unreserved space, you must be able to identify yourself as a student at Uppsala University. Without an identification, you can only purchase parking by the hour or for 15 hours of parking.

A 30-day ticket automatically expires after 30 days. Monthly subscriptions for unreserved spaces renew each month automatically.

Identify yourself with a digital decal

The identification process is handled through a digital decal purchased using a special code for students. Using the code, you can purchase the digital decal "Student, Uppsala University" free of charge in the SmartPark app or via the SmartParking website.

The decal allows you to purchase either a 30-day ticket or a monthly subscription for an unreserved space.

The decal is valid for a limited period. When it expires, a new decal must be obtained using the current code. The code is updated every six months and must not be shared with others.
