Troubleshooting eduroam

Most problems with eduroam can be resolved by following these instructions:

  1. Make sure that the wireless or UU-Guest network is not active. If it is, delete (or "forget") the UU-Guest-network.
  2. Make sure that you have entered your user ID correctly, followed by "@user.uu.se".
  3. Check that you have used the correct password. Password B should be used. You can create and manage your Password B at uu.se/account.
  4. Change the existing password B to a password that contains a-z, A-Z, and 0-9 (maximum length is 12 characters).
  5. Installera eventuella uppgraderingar av operativsystemet (Windows eller MacOS).
  6. Install any operating system upgrades (Windows or MacOS).
  7. Restart the device.
  8. Place the device closer to the access point (wireless broadcast location).

If your problems persist after checking the above, if you have an issue with the settings or the client application, or if you have questions about coverage on campus, please contact IT Support.
