Student unions

The student unions are created and driven by students, for students. The main goal of the unions is to ensure that the interests of Uppsala University students are always prioritised and protected.

The unions always act in the best interest of their members. They deal with issues concerning education, equality, internationalisation, housing and economy. They can even take on the role of mediator when conflict arises between the university and a student. If you require assistance the unions are there to help.

Depending on what you are studying, you could be interested in joining one or several unions. At Uppsala University there are six student unions, each representing a different area.

In Uppsala, there are also several student nations. Read more about the nations!
