What is Collaborations?
Collaborations in Studium is a tool that allows students and teachers to work together on a document simultaneously. The document is saved in real time in OneDrive, meaning any changes made by one user are immediately visible to everyone sharing the document.
Open and edit a collaborative document
You can find the Collaborations tool in the course menu (if the teacher has made it visible) or on the group page.
How to access a collaborative document:
- The first step is to log in to Microsoft 365 Education with your student account.
- In Studium, click Office 365 in the course menu. The course will now connect to your OneDrive.
- Next go to Collaborations.
- Click the shared document to open it.
- Click Log in, then select Log in with Office 365.
- Once inside the document, click Edit to start working.
Create and share a new collaboration
You can find the Collaborations tool in the course menu (if the teacher has made it visible) or on the group page.
- Log in to Microsoft 365 Education with your student account.
- In Studium, click Office 365 in the course menu. The course will now connect to your OneDrive.
- Next go to Collaborations.
- Click +Collaborations.
- Enter a document name.
- Select the people you want to collaborate with.
- Scroll down and click Save.
- Now you can click on the shared document to open and edit it.

Issues accessing Collaborations
Error when authenticating? Log in once again to Microsoft 365 Education with your student account and follow the steps listed above.
Is Office 365 missing the course menu? Contact IT support so they can activate it.
Are you unable to log into Microsoft 365 Education? Contact IT support.
Sharing dokuments
Error when saving a new collaboration? First ensure you are signed into Microsoft 365 Education and click on Office 365 in the course menu so that the connection to OneDrive is established.
Can’t see the Edit button? If the Edit button does not appear after opening the document, close the tab and reopen the collaboration - this should make the button visible.
Opening shared dokuments
Shared documents are missing in collaborations? Check with your collaborator if they have shared the document with you.
Tip! You can always find the shared documents via your student e-mail.
