Terms and conditions for using digital note-taking support

To access digital note-taking support, you must have been granted note-taking support as part of your targeted study support. The support is provided through the Genio Notes tool.

You will have access to Genio Notes for the duration of your valid decision regarding note-taking support. When your licence expires, your notes will remain available for an additional two months. Any material you wish to keep after that must be saved to your computer, mobile phone, or tablet.

The note-taking support is offered as a service. Using the tool during the period of access is entirely voluntary.

Before you start using Genio Notes

You are responsible for informing the contact person for targeted study support at your department or programme that you have been granted note-taking support. The contact person will then inform the teaching staff that note-taking support is being used in the course.

When using Genio Notes

By using Genio Notes, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Note-taking support is personal and intended for your own use only.
2. You may not share notes, recordings or any other material with others. If someone asks for access to the material, you may refer them to these terms and conditions.
3. Note-taking support is primarily intended for lectures. The TimeEdit schedule should indicate which teaching sessions permit recording. There may also be occasions when you are asked to pause or stop a recording. The teacher determines when recording is inappropriate, and you are required to follow any instructions given.
4. Genio Notes forms part of the support granted to you for your studies at Uppsala University and may not be used for any other purpose.
5. You must be physically present at the teaching session to use Genio Notes.
