Welcome programme Uppsala
Soon you will join us in Uppsala and get ready for your studies and student life. We highly recommend arriving to Uppsala during our Arrival Days, where we will greet you at Arlanda Airport, escort you to our Welcome Centre in Uppsala and provide shuttle services to your housing.
Arrival Day – Autumn 2026
The Arrival Day for the autumn semester 2026 is 19-20 August.
Arriving at Stockholm Arlanda Airport
During Arrival Days, from 09:00–20:00, we have an Arrival Desk outside the customs service at Terminal 5, Stockholm Arlanda Airport where we will meet you and help you reach the Welcome Center in Uppsala.
Arriving at the Welcome Center
We have a Welcome Centre set up in Uppsala, in the Segerstedt Building, located at Dag Hammarskjölds väg 7.
During the Arrival days The Welcome Centre is open between 10:00 and 21:00. Staff from Uppsala University Housing Office, the International Office, and student volunteers, will be on hand at the Welcome Centre.
Services at the Welcome Centre include:
- Uppsala University Housing Office – keys and contracts for students who have been offered housing through the Uppsala University Housing Office
- Welcome packages
- Student account activation (requires formal ID, take your passport with you)
- Temporary student ID
- Shuttle services to university housing areas
Arriving on another day?
Should your arrival be delayed, or if you are arriving another day, you will need to make necessary arrangements for your transportation on your own.
Getting to Uppsala and getting around in Uppsala
You are warmly welcome to visit the Service Centre in the Segerstedt Building during its ordinary opening hours to pick up your welcome folder and student account details.
